Personal Transporter (PT) x2 offers improved performance on different terrains with minimal impact on the environment.
It is equipped with all-terrain tires, a robust fender design, lithium-ion batteries and specially developed software.
With the robust PT x2 you can drive almost anywhere, whether along nature trails, over hilly terrain or on the beach.
The low-pressure tires of the SEGWAY PT x2 ensure perfect grip even when driving on more demanding terrain. A continuous central lamella in the profile is used for smooth driving on paved surfaces.
The increased track width increases the stability of the vehicle on uneven terrain – including sand, grass, gravel or pavement.
The long-lasting lithium-ion batteries support the PT x2’s energy requirements and offer a range of up to 25 km off-road (depending on the terrain, driving style and load).
The PT X2 is equipped with our new technologies LeanSteerTM and InfoKeyTM. These further developments make the journey even more intuitive and provide you with data about your journey.

The robust fenders of the PT x2 shield you from thrown up stones and lumps of earth and also protect you when cornering.
The lightweight aluminum frame is very helpful for loading into vehicles.

The maximum speed and the turning speed of the SEGWAY PT x2 are set with the wireless InfoKey control unit. The two possible settings are:

If the PT x2 is stored and charged at room temperature, it can be operated under various environmental conditions. The actual performance depends on the battery temperature, the condition of the road surface, the driving style and the load.
SUBSOIL:
The large tires and track width of the PT x2 allow it to be used for a wide range of purposes and on a variety of surfaces. The vehicle’s sensors constantly monitor the driver’s position in relation to the earth’s gravity. This enables the PT x2 to adapt to changing road conditions and always keep the driver in an upright position.
Gradients of up to 35% are no problem for the PT x2!

We designed the SEGWAY PT x2 to be so robust that increased stability is guaranteed even in demanding driving situations. On the vehicle, you are 24 cm above the ground, which gives you a good overview of the surroundings at all times.

Portability was a fundamental design goal. That’s why we’ve made the SEGWAY PT x2 just so light that it can be lifted, small enough to be stowed in the trunk of a mid-range car. The handlebar can also be removed so that it can be stored in even the smallest of storage spaces.
Side brackets are an optionally available extension to the vehicle frame, which make picking up and stowing even easier.
TURNING RADIUS: ZERO!
One of the characteristics of a pedestrian is the ability to turn on its own axis without colliding with people or objects that are close by. Apart from the SEGWAY PT, only very few vehicles around the world can do this. Since the SEGWAY PT x2 only has a single axis, the driver is able to turn while standing.
POWER SUPPLY :
Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries
Ion batteries. The batteries are continuously checked for condition and temperature by the vehicle’s own electronics. Full charging usually takes place via a normal socket and takes around 6 to 8 hours. The batteries can be charged at a voltage of 90 to 260 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, which is the typical power supply in most countries. The energy costs incurred for a charge are minimal.
A complete charge, for example, only requires 0.9 KW, which corresponds to approx. 0.20 EUR.
Li-Ion batteries last for at least 1,000 full charge / discharge cycles.
When driving downhill and during braking, part of the energy is fed back to the batteries through energy recovery.
SAFETY :
Redundant electrical systems.
Robust mechanical systems.
Safety is of the utmost importance to us, both in design and in operation. To ensure the safety of SEGWAY PT users and the people in their immediate vicinity, the balance systems and electronics are designed with redundancy. If one system operates at reduced power, the second immediately takes over all functions. This allows the SEGWAY PT to maintain its balance, enabling the rider to descend safely.
The mechanical components of the SEGWAY PT have been developed to the highest design standards, and every single part has been thoroughly tested and analyzed to ensure these high standards. Millions of fatigue cycles and thousands of driving hours accompanied the development of the SEGWAY PT.
