The large tires specially designed for golf turf and the track width of the PT x2 TURF GOLF allow it to be used for a wide range of purposes and on a variety of surfaces. The vehicle’s sensors constantly monitor the driver’s position in relation to the earth’s gravity. This enables the PT to adapt to changing road conditions while always keeping the driver in an upright position.<\/p>\n

TURNING RADIUS: ZERO!<\/strong><\/p>\nOne of the characteristics of a pedestrian is the ability to turn on its own axis without colliding with people or objects that are close by. Apart from the SEGWAY PT, only very few vehicles around the world can do this. As the SEGWAY PT has two separate drives, the rider can turn while stationary.<\/p>\n
POWER SUPPLY :<\/h2>\n
Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries<\/strong><\/p>\nThe batteries are continuously checked for condition and temperature by the vehicle’s own electronics. Full charging usually takes place via a normal socket and takes around 6 to 8 hours, depending on the battery type. The batteries can be charged at a voltage of 90 to 260 volts at 50 to 60 Hz, which is the typical power supply in most countries. The energy costs incurred for a charge are minimal.<\/p>\n
For example, a complete charge requires only 2 KW, which corresponds to approx. 0.40 EUR.<\/strong><\/p>\nWhen driving downhill and during braking, part of the energy is fed back to the batteries through energy recovery.<\/strong><\/p>\nSAFETY :<\/strong><\/p>\nRedundant electrical systems.

Safety is of the utmost importance to us, both in design and in operation. To ensure the safety of SEGWAY PT users and the people in their immediate vicinity, the balance systems and electronics are designed with redundancy. If one system operates at reduced power, the second immediately takes over all functions. This allows the SEGWAY PT to maintain its balance, enabling the rider to descend safely.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe highest design standards were applied in the development of the mechanical components of the SEGWAY PT, with each individual part being thoroughly tested and analyzed to ensure these high standards. Millions of fatigue cycles and thousands of driving hours accompanied the development of the SEGWAY PT.<\/p>\n
